Gary Maggio

Gary knows about personal tragedy. For Gary it was dealing with a devastating accidental drowning of his daughter Emily. I still recall his email to me in 2001 reaching out for help.

Gary spent some years rebuilding himself a day, a week, a month at a time to the point where thankfully everyday today is lived with passion... where every day today is lived with a grateful heart.. where everyday the presence of our creator is felt.. and where everyday he is blessed with opportunity to give it back, to pay it forward, and to sleep soundly, contently and really in awe of life.

Its from this point today, in february 2009, where budgets are being slashed, projects being canceled, contracts not being renewed that Gary wants to do his bit for Apple Contractors who may be doing it tough over 2009, but who are passionate about what they do... and are open to Gary being their inspiration and support.. so they may feel gratitude every day like Gary every day...

Must Decide... Must Choose...Fence sitters need not apply...

Hello Rob! God has shined his amazing grace upon me again! I just signed with GLO oneof the top New York Night Clubs! My task is to market the Night Club withmy Social Media expertise...using the backbone of Macintosh technologies!

OK, here we go ....

1) After numerous years studying and getting certified in WINDOZEoperating systems, one of my closest friends and top 10 Apple Certified trainers in the United States (Mr. Craig Cohen) said to me "Gary, your asmart guy why don't you come over to the Mac side where you work with a company who despises corporate politics and actually cares about the enduser experience". The respect I have for Mr. Cohen left me no other choice other then to investigate the Apple World. What I found was a company who clearly created an operating system whose primary purpose was to enhance the users life and contribute to a better quality of life. From that day forward I turned in my MCP chip in and embarked on a life changing career course studying Macintosh technology.

2) Being an Apple Contractor enables me to show corporations and individuals the way the many benefits, such as, cheaper software and upgrades with better deals for my clients. There are no more license fees on upgrades which save my clients thousands of dollars per year. My Enterprise clients save up to $100,000 dollars had they been on the Windows platform....

3) If you want to uninstall a item of software just drag it to the trash can, and thats it if you uninstalled something on a PC it would leave countless files and folders littered in your Program files directory and entrys in your registry.

4) Macs are designed by people who know a lot about people. Their iLifesuite is the most user friendly digital tool to document your family videos, pictures, DVD's, music all with the ability to store it all on asecure server through the internet! Now, lets go through the steps to do this on Windows. No thanks

More to follow Rob...just got a support call !!!

Thank You Gary

So let me check if I have this straight... are you saying that for a person to make their way in a tightly competitive contracting field that they must send a clear signal to their OWN brain, their customers brain and make a DECISION that will REMOVE all DOUBT around what they are a stand for.. and that fence sitters are best to stay home?

This makes sense to me... As a user I see strengths in both the Microsoft/Intel and the Apple Platforms... but I can see your point that a contractor must make up their mind exactly what THEY see the ISSUE is that is hurting people (they wish to serve)... where most customers are trying hard to make their way in a highly uncertain time that we are now in... and for them to put themselves 100% behind that DECISION in terms of what ISSUE they want to be a SOLUTION for...

For example I LIKE the way you are looking at 'cost-of-ownership'. As you know 7th-Labyrinth is involved in a massive 'deployment' project that will cost (I won't name the firm) millions that I am sure they would rather have put into more customer centred solutions. The 'thinner' alternative.. the 'net computer' was promoted heavily in the 90's by IBM and Oracle but did not win out... although the google model has caused a shift back toward that... So it is important to pick the wave that will be there in 20 years time.

With that in mind allow me to ask you two questions if that's okay...

Q1 How important is it for a contractor to see the pain from a customers point of view... and the benefit their solution is as experienced from the customer point of view... in a quantifiable, verifiable, measurable way?

Q2 How important is it for a contractor to be DECIDED about the solution PROVIDER they chosse to INVEST their LOYALTY in? What happens if they don't?
